February 5, 2016 — Franklin Art Crawl — 6:00-8:00, Merridees, Downtown Franklin, TN. Franklin offers an art scene with mostly local artists in its downtown historic district, with 30 galleries open and displaying works of artists, including the art of writing with about 10 Authors Circle writers and their books at Merridees to meet the public, talk about writing, and sell their works. Join us and have dinner or something from the wonderful bakery!

April 7, 2016 — GriefShare; Brentwood Baptist Church, Brentwood, TN. Closed group.

April 23-24, 2016 — Main Street Festival, downtown Franklin TN. This annual event over a two-day weekend attracts more than 130,000 visitors and features more than 200 artisans and crafters, three stages for music, two carnivals, and an international food court. The Middle Tennessee Authors Circle will be in a booth with books in the middle of all the music and crafts, such as birdhouses, garden accents, leatherwork, stained glass, ornamental iron, pottery, jewelry, and much more. Please stop by!

 

2015 Appearances:

April 25-26, 2015 — MAIN STREET FESTIVAL, downtown Franklin TN.  This annual event over a two-day weekend attracts 130,000 visitors and features more than 200 artisans and crafters, three stages for music, two carnivals, and an international food court. The Authors Circle will be in a booth with books in the middle of all the music and crafts, such as birdhouses, garden accents, leatherwork, stained glass, ornamental iron, pottery, jewelry, and much more. I will be there with Bill Peach (you can’t miss his blue dress shirt, book tie, and white hair!) and ten other local writers. Please come by and talk!

March 19, 2015 — Speaking at GriefShare, Brentwood Baptist Church, Brentwood TN (closed group)

October 25, 2014 — Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbecue Festival — Lynchburg, TN. One of the world’s most prestigious barbecue competitions. I’ll be there as a [non-food] vendor in a Middle Tennessee authors booth, sharing winning writing to go along with winning pork and beef barbecue in the Hollow with tens of thousands of people.

October 10-12, 2014 — Southern Festival of Books — Nashville, TN. More later…

February 1, 2014 — 12:00 noon – 2:00 — BOOK READING & SIGNING — TurnRow Book Co. — Greenwood MS. Special guests with me will be Judy Hurley and Gerri Ricks Dangelo, both formerly of Greenwood. At 3:00 author Jessica Handler will teach a class on writing through grief and sign her new book Braving the Fire.

November 23, 2013 — 10:00-3:00AUTHOR FAIR — Brentwood Library, 8109 Concord Rd., Brentwood TN. Judy Hurley of Franklin, formerly of Greenwood, MS, will be with me. Judy, who lost her husband Jim five months before I lost Charlie, shared the journey with me and makes several appearances in the book.

December 7, 2013 — 11:00-1:30 — MIDDLE TENNESSEE BOOK FESTIVAL — Maury County Library, 211 W 8th St., Columbia TN

December 8, 2013 — 2:00-4:00OFFICIAL BOOK LAUNCH & SIGNING — The Coffee House at 2nd and Bridge, Franklin TN. This is the big one! Susie Dunham is Event Manager, in charge of decor, adding her special touches, so you won’t want to miss the dragonfly spectacular! Judy Hurley is Business Manager. Holiday and dragonfly decor, sweets and coffee, and BOOKS! Come! Celebrate with me!
